Data Scientist with the following duties:

  1. Expertise in data mining algorithms and statistical modelling techniques such as clustering, classification, regression, decision trees, neural nets, support vector machines, anomaly detection, recommender systems, sequential pattern discovery, and text mining.
  2. Apply data mining, and machine learning (both supervised and unsupervised) on unstructured data.
  3. Discover data sources, understand them, clean them up and create and refine features from the underlying data in order to make your models perform better.
  4. Participate in discovery sessions to understand and document the customer’s technical and business requirements necessary for successful completion of POCs and Projects.
  5. Assess the risks and merits of different approaches to solving complex problems in the light of the specific requirements and time frame.
  6. Actively work on creating and improving tools to parallelize model training, unifying dataset creation and accuracy measurements across experiments.
  7. Actively follow advancements in AI and ML and Data Science, and participate in discussions about them with the ML and research teams.
  8. Moderate knowledge and experience in Deep Learning algorithms and solutions and understanding of multi-object detection models, Scene text models and various other significant advancements in the field.
  9. Production deployment duties using Containerization and VMs, and client production support.

Requirements:

Educational requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent evaluated by a US credentialing service) in Sciences, Computer Sciences or Engineering or a related field.

Work experience requirements: 2 years of experience in the offered position or in the alternate title of Senior Software Engineer-Data Science & AI, Senior Consultant-Data Science & AI, Principal Consultant or a related occupation.

Skill set requirements: 2 years in the following skill set:

  1. Python and R.
  2. SQL, MySQL and Google BigQuery.
  3. Stackoverflow, Github and Python Notebooks.
  4. Deep Learning Frameworks: TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch.
  5. ML Ops frameworks: Azure ML Studio, Vertex AI, Google Cloud Platform, Azure Databricks
  6. Retail sales models: Time Series forecasting (ARIMA/SARIMAX) and COVID data modelling
  7. Model training parallelization tools: Spark and PySpark

Job site:

The job is currently in Cranbury, NJ. There is a possibility of medium to long term relocation to either Pittsburgh, PA or other unanticipated sites throughout the U.S.

The position is 40 hours per week, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.
