Role Overview:  

As the D365 Supply Chain Functional consultant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation and system processes for Supply Chain modules in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O). You will serve as the key liaison between the business team members and the technical D365 team. After the Go-Live, you will continue to support the operations of D365 by eliciting, understanding, and documenting requirements (BRDs), facilitating and documenting system design and procedures, testing new and existing functionality, documenting issues, executing test cases, and preparing procedures (SOPs) and training material. 


  • Act as functional lead and subject matter expert on MS Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations functionality (PIM, Procurement and Sourcing, and Master Planning)  
  • Gather and document business requirements and use cases using various techniques such as work sessions and interviews. 
  • Define and document system requirements utilizing process flows, use cases, and other appropriate methods. 
  • Document the functional design based on the business requirements. 
  • Perform all necessary configurations in D365 for PIM, Procurement, Sourcing, and Master Planning modules. 
  • Develop the required deliverables for finance and operations business processes for systemic change (functional designs, test cases, training materials, SOPs).  
  • Train users on new software and procedures. 
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and follow process and project methodologies to ensure proper implementation and adoption. 



To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 as an implementation consultant. 
  • At least 2 full life cycle implementations experience in Supply Chain modules. 
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, particularly in PIM, Procurement and Sourcing, and Master Planning modules. 
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps. 
  • Experience in creating integration design documents involving Product Information Management and Procurement modules using any iPaaS platform. 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to perform duties under minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, SOPs, and procedure manuals and conduct user training sessions.  
  • Relevant certification in Dynamics 365 would be a plus.
