Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer with the following duties:

1. Design and architect enterprise-level data warehouse, data lakes/mart, familiarity with ETL architectures, leveraging multiple sources like XSD, Flat files in S3, Microsoft Azure SQL, Azure Data Warehouse, IBM DB2 and Oracle 11G databases to meet business requirements and performance goals.
2. Design, develop, maintain, monitor, and execute production ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter/ Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, Azure data factory, data bricks, AWS Glue, SSIS and MuleSoft.
3. Design and create scripts using Microsoft Azure functions python, batch/bash scripts, PowerShell or VBScript for file handling and scheduling jobs on tools like Autosys or CONTROL M
4. Skilled in leveraging Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft SSRS to create insightful reports and dashboards on data warehouses, extracting insights and presenting data-driven findings effectively.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discover opportunities for enhanced decision-making and process improvements.
6. Experienced with writing complex SQL Queries, User Defined Function, Stored procedures and Materialized views from database development background.
7. Conduct data profiling and data cleansing activities using queries and stored procedures with extensive knowledge in T-SQL to enhance data accuracy and usability.
8. Provides the necessary technical specifications, data mappings, and integration processes associated with the developed and maintained solutions to satisfy all company, IT policies, procedures, standards, practices, and guidelines.
9. Responsible for overseeing change requests, reviewing and approving them, and ensuring seamless project delivery through effective change management
10. Facilitate communication between the onshore and offshore development teams as a liaison.

Requirements:

Educational requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Work experience requirements: 2 years of experience in the offered position or in the alternate job title of Software Engineer or a related occupation.

Skill set requirements:
2 years in the following skill set:

1. Informatica Power Center, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, AWS Glue, S3, Azure Data factory, Databricks, SSIS, MuleSoft.
2. Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Azure SQL, Azure Datawarehouse, PostgreSQL, IBM DB2, Oracle database
3. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft SSRS
4. Azure Functions, Python, PowerShell, Bash/Batch scripting

Job site:

The job is currently in Cranbury, NJ. There is a possibility of medium to long term relocation to either Pittsburgh, PA or other unanticipated sites throughout the U.S.

The position is 40 hours per week, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.
